BEAUTIFUL MEMORY VERSE
(Ephesians 3:9)

And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (KJV)

and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; (NKJV)

THE SAGA OF THE PEPPERED MOTH

The article below by Barry Newton wherein he quotes extensively from Dr. Philip Johnson, Law Professor from Berkeley University, brings out one of the greatest proofs of evolutionism. And as the other nonsense, it is absolutely nothing.

The story begins in England where many light colored trees and lichens grew, the Peppered Moth was plentiful and were relatively safe resting on these similarly colored trees and the pararsitic lichens. But during the industrial revolution, soot and pollution darkened these growths and caused the Peppered Moth to be highly visible on the darker background. And so, the birds swiftly lowered the population of the moths. But guess what! Some moths were darker and had been excellent prey for the birds, but now the darker ones became safer. So the population of the light colored moths dwindled while the dark (some even black) flourished.

This only proves what is obvious. Kill off a strain of something and leave another strain alone and what happens? the strain you leave alone will flourish while the other dies out. This is a form of evolution, referred to as micro-evolution, and I don't know a single person who would deny such. But it has no bearing or similarity to changing from one species to another (macro-evolution). The Peppered Moth proves nothing more than the obvious. I'm glad the evolutionists have the Peppered Moth on which to gloat. Please read this man's article below, "A Lesson From A Law Professor". He tells it like it is.

Amusing, But Oh So True

After being interviewed by the school administration, the eager teaching prospect said: "Let me see if I've got this right. You want me to go into that room with all those kids, and fill their every waking moment with a love for learning?

"I'm supposed to instill a sense of pride in their ethnicity, modify their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse and even censor their t-shirt messages and dress habits. You want me to wage a war on drugs, check their backpacks for weapons of mass destruction, and raise their self-esteem? You want me to teach them patriotism, good citizenship, sportsmanship, fair play, how to register to vote, how to balance a checkbook and how to apply for a job? I am to check their heads for lice, maintain a safe environment, recognize signs of anti-social behavior, offer advice, write letters of recommendation for student employment and scholarships, encourage respect for the cultural diversity of others and oh, make sure I give the girls in my class 50% of my attention?

"My own contract requires me to work on my own time after school, evenings and weekends grading papers. Also I must spend my summer vacation at my own expense working toward advance certification and a Master's Degree? And on my own time, you want me to attend committee and faculty meetings, PTA meetings, and participate in staff development training? I am to be a paragon of virtue, larger than life, such that my very presence will awe my students into being obedient and respectful of authority. You want me to incorporate technology into the learning experience, monitor websites and relate personally with each student? That includes deciding who might be potentially dangerous and/or liable to commit a crime in school.

"I am to make sure all students pass the mandatory state exams, even those who don't come to school regularly or complete any of their assignments. Plus, I am to make sure that all of the students with handicaps get an equal education regardless of the extent of their mental or physical handicap? And I am to communicate regularly with the parents by letter, telephone, newsletter and report card. All of this I am to do with just a piece of chalk, a computer, a few books, a bulletin board, a big smile and a starting salary that qualifies my family for food stamps!

You want me to do all this and yet you expect me...NOT TO PRAY???" (Copied from the Crossville, Tennessee church of Christ's bulletin COMPASS)

A Lesson From A Law Professor

Several years ago, I invited Dr. Phillip Johnson, a staunch adversary of macro-evolution and a law professor for over thirty years at the University of Berkeley, to attend one of our regional preachers' meetings as a guest speaker. On the appointed day in a local restaurant while we sat around a large table, I presented a question about "evolution and creationism."

What remains clearly etched in my mind is his discourse on the danger of speaking about "evolution and creationism." For creationists to frame the subject in this manner, he said, automatically places the creationist at a disadvantage because he is defending an "-ism." Perhaps his comment might seem a bit nit picky, but how comfortable would an evolutionist be in discussing creation and evolutionism? Dr. Johnson recommended that in order to engage in a discussion of origins without verbal bias, we need to speak about "evolution and creation." Or if someone prefers, "evolutionism and creationism" would also maintain an evenhanded approach. You may be aware that the controversy regarding what should be taught in our public schools regarding origins has surfaced again. At the heart of the storm is Dr. Johnson's Intelligent Design movement which advocates that scientific evidence points to a Designer, not randomness.

Did you know that Dr. Johnson was not always so adamantly opposed to macro-evolution? He describes himself as being raised a nominal Christian but then "I went to Harvard and assumed I was leaving all that behind. I had every intention of simply adopting the Harvard philosphy, which was secular, pragmatic, and rational, because that's what you do did if you wanted to be a big deal." He descibes the next phase of his life as "I became a nominal agnostic." What could cause a Harvard and University of Chicago Law School trained professor to reevaluate his thinking about evolution?

In his own words,

"I wanted to know whether the fundamentals of the Christian worldview were fact or fantasy. Darwinism is a logical place to begin because, if Darwinism is true, Christian metaphysics is fantasy. That's why it's so marginalized and is considered to be of no intellectual interest."

His opportunity to study Darwinism in more depth arrived in the academic year of 1987 -1988 while he was on a sabbatical in London.

"It was immensely interesting to discover that it's all circular reasoning, deception and pseudo-science. ... It is a pseudo-science that simply works for confirming examples of a materialist philosophical system that's held up by a priori grids."

"The first book I read while on sabbatical was Dawkin's Blind Watchmaker, which seemed fairly convincing on the first reading but full of holes on the second."

"But perhaps the greatest 'Aha!" moment came when I was browsing in a bookstore in London with my wife. ... She picked up a copy of Isaac Asimov's Guide to Science ... there was a brief description of the theory, plus three pages of heavy-handed ad hominem denunciation of creationists for not accepting the absolute truth of this theory that was so obvious to all thinking persons. Then there was a brief section called 'Proof of Evolution,' in which the entire proof - all the proof that Asimov thought was necessary-was the peppered moth experiment. ... Such experiences have been repeated many times.

The ignorance that's involved, the indifference to the facts, is stunning. Anything that promotes the 'Great Darwin" and the materialist understanding is uncritically received, unless it does something that's politically incorrect. In short, my discovery that the reasoning in Darwinism is unscientific, illogical, and dishonest was tremendously important to me because it validates that 'In the beginnning was the Word' is really the correct starting point."

MUSINGS OF JOEL
The Deep Freeze Puts An End To "Just Happened"

A lesson in physics for those who may not fully understand.

The difference in "cold" and "hot" is simply that heat is energy being created by the action of molecules in any and all substances. Cold is nothing. It is merely absence of heat. To cool anything is simply to remove heat from it. Heat, like many other things such as water, will move from a point of high concentration to a point of lower concentration when it can. One other point. Every smidgen of matter on the face of the earth (or anywhere else) has some constant molecular activity and therefore, some small amount of heat. Even frozen carbon dioxide (which freezes at approximately -751 Fahrenheit).

Now with that brief and over simplified lesson...One of the solutions to the evolutionists dilemma is that all matter has been here forever. Eternally. Any child ought to know better but you have to beat anything into the evolutionists' heads and they still won't listen. The second law of thermodynamics is that, as energy (heat) is expended, some is always lost. This is always the case. Some is rendered unusable and dissipates into the atmosphere, into endless space. If all the energy could be totally removed from any object it would be -459.671 Fahrenheit. This is known as Absolute Zero and at that point all molecular activity ceases. If all matter had existed forever and was constantly losing it's latent energy, the universe would have been at a point of absolute zero for eons upon eons.

All physical matter is temporary, never forget that and you won't have any question about it having existed forever. And then, the first law of thermodynamics states essentially that something cannot be made from nothing! SO! There can be but one possible answer. Some supernatural power HAD TO TRANSCEND NATURAL LAWS for us to be here! And inspired writers knew this some 3500 years ago. That is also why some wrote, 2000 years ago, that flesh and blood cannot enter into heaven but that corruption must put on incorruption. And they stated that ALL the elements would melt with fervent heat. I would hate to be to the point that I would shut out facts to keep from accepting truth.

The Jay and the Peacock

A Jay venturing into a yard where Peacocks used to walk, found there a number of feathers which had fallen from the Peacocks when they were moulting. He tied them all to his tail and strutted down towards the Peacocks. When he came near them they soon discovered the cheat, and striding up to him pecked at him and plucked away his borrowed plumes. So the Jay could do no better than go back to the other Jays, who had watched his behaviour from a distance; but they were equally annoyed with him, and told him:

"It is not only fine feathers that make fine birds."...Aesop
